PRESS RELEASE

The new album by 1974AD 'ON AIR' is now available in the market, produced and marketed by Santana Records in association with Partynepal.com. ON AIR is the 7th album for the band whose music has defined Nepali rock for more than a decade.

Along with their classic ballads (like Madhu Masta, Ma Timrai Hu, Maya Cha Ki and Jandaichhu) you can look forward to some innovative rock in numbers like Aja Bholi. Ever ready to experiment, 1974AD have mixed it up this time with new vocals from Sanjay Shrestha on Swargadapi.
'This album is all about hope and peace, and standing up for your rights. We want to send a message to all the youth of Nepal.' says Nirakar Yakthumba, bassists.

Other tracks include Khelau, dedicated to all the sports men and women of Nepal; an instrumental track composed by flutist Manose Singh (Irish Coffee), a fusion of Nepali folk, Irish folk and rock; Timilai Bolaunda a folk rock song; and for those of you who want to know how it all ends, Chyangba and the Bloddy Revolution Part 3, a continuation of the songs Chyangba, from the album Jungi Nishan, and Chyangba 2 from Pinjada Ko Suga.

All songs in this album are composed, written, arranged and performed by 1974AD.

Featuring:

Adrian Pradhan Drums, Vocals and Blues Harp
Manoj KC Guitars and Keyboards
Manose Singh Bamboo Flute
Nirakar Yakthumba Bass
Phiroj Shyangden Guitars and Vocals
Sanjay Shrestha Percussions, Drums and Vocals

ON AIR is recorded by Manoj KC and mastered by Ashim Jha. Cover design by Kiran Maharjan and some photographs by Herbert Grammatikopoulos. The band would like to thank all our fans and supporters, and special thanks to all the media, TV and radio personnel, who make it possible for us to reach our audience.
